Mammograms

Mammograms
A mammogram is an Xray of the breast designed to diagnose cancer or other conditions at an early stage when they may not be large enough to feel. Early diagnosis and treatment will result in better outcomes. All women over fifty years of age are advised to have a mammogram every three years. Women taking HRT do not need to have mammograms more frequently than that. But in some cases, women with a strong family history may need to have them carried out more often.
Mammograms are not carried out in this clinic, but we can arrange for you to have one done at one of the local breast screening centres.
