Gynaecologist

After undergraduate training at The London Hospital, Mike Savvas pursued a career in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He developed a special interest in Reproductive Endocrinology when he was Research Fellow to Professor John Studd at King’s College Hospital. He has undertaken extensive research in the fields of Menopause, Infertility and PMS, and has published many research papers contributing to these fields.

Mike Savvas was previously a Consultant Gynaecologist at King’s College Hospital, with a special interest in Menopause, Reproductive Endocrinology including infertility and PCOS. He was Clinical Director for Obstetrics and Gynaecology at King’s for many years, as well as Clinical Lead for the Assisted Conception Unit. He retired from this post at King’s in 2023, and now continues to work in the private sector.

Mike Savvas is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He is past President of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology section of the Royal Society of Medicine, and is now a council member of the section. He is a Member of the British Menopause Society (BMS) and was previously a member of its Medical Advisory Committee. Futhermore, he is a member of the International Menopause Society, and is on the editorial board of its medical journal titled ‘The Climacteric’.

With decades of experience in the field of menopause, he is able to provide the most up to date and evidence based treatment for women with more complex menopausal problems.

Dr Neale Watson

Gynaecologist

Neale Watson is a gynaecologist specialising in menopause, PMS and reproductive medicine. He graduated from the Royal Free Hospital in London where he specialised in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He developed an interest in gynaecological endocrinology before joining Professor Studd at King’s College London as a research Fellow in Reproductive Endocrinology. There he ran the largest PMS and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) clinic in the country, as well as the menopause clinic at King’s and Dulwich hospital. During this time with Professor Studd he published extensively on reproductive depression, PMS, the menopause and osteoporosis.

Neale Watson is currently a Consultant Gynaecologist at Hillingdon Hospital and the Lister IVF unit, with a special interest in Laparoscopic surgery and Gynaecological endocrinology, treating menopause and premenstrual syndrome.

Neale Watson is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a member of the Royal society of Medicine. He is a member of the British menopause Society (BMS).

Having been treating those with menopausal and PMS symptoms since the 1980s, he brings extensive experience and knowledge to the care of these patients.

Dr. Marilena Nicou is a British Menopause Society (BMS) Specialist and dedicated General Practitioner with a deep commitment to women’s health. She is a proud graduate of Imperial College School of Medicine, where she also earned an honours degree in Reproductive Medicine.

To complement her practice, she holds a Diploma in Family Planning & Sexual Health from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH) and offers an intrauterine coil fitting service, allowing her to provide evidence-based care to her patients. 

Dr Nicou recognises that women often face stigma and misdiagnosis when seeking help for hormonal and mental health issues. As a General Practitioner, she has gained valuable experience in the management of women who are particularly sensitive to hormonal fluctuations at various points in their lives. Reflecting her commitment to understanding the complex interplay between hormones and mental health, she holds a particular interest in mood changes linked to menstruation, the perimenopause and menopause.

With a focus on individualised care, Dr Nicou’s comprehensive training and experience ensure that every patient receives a personalised care plan that addresses their specific needs. Her goal is to support women on their journey to optimal health, promoting well-being at every stage of their life.
