Working with internationally acknowledged pioneering teams with Professor John Studd, Mike is a vastly experienced consultant gynaecologist with a special interest in reproductive endocrinology. This approach focusses on hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for the symptoms of the menopause, PMS, infertility, osteoporosis and PCOS.
After completing his medical training at The London Hospital he has gone on to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a leader in his chosen medical field. He has carried out considerable research into the menopause, a specialist interest that began when he was Research Fellow to Professor John Studd at King's College Hospital.
Michael Savvas has worked in the field of Menopause and PMS for over 30 years. He has conducted research into menopause and the effects of HRT on skin and in the prevention of osteoporosis. He also has many years’ experience in infertility and was Clinical Lead for King's College Hospital Assisted Conception Unit.
Experienced colposcopist and was Clinical Lead for the colposcopy service at King's College Hospital. He has extensive research and papers published in menopause, PMS infertility and colposcopy.
Mr Savvas is a Member of the British Menopause Society (BMS), and he co-authored their guidelines on the use of HRT. He has also previously held the position President of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology section of the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM).
